About me:

What I am made out of: A Construction worker, an architect, an accountant, a mechanical engineer (A draftsperson to be precise), an avid cyclist/motorcyclist, a just as avid reader of the great works of fiction and the autobiographies of very interesting people, and of course, most importantly, I am a photographer.

Where I come From: I was born in Sacramento California. My parents are from Sri Lanka and took me back to their old homestead after I passed my second birthday. I lived there for ten years until I reached Middle School. I returned back to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1996 and have lived here ever since.

My Photography Background: There I was one fine day riding along on a bicycle exploring the Dumbarton bridge's (connecting Palo Alto to Fremont don't you know) bicycle accessible lane in the middle of summer. I'd brought along my digital point & shoot camera in case I needed to take any pictures. After exiting the bridge, I was riding along a very rough asphalt road. It was blissful, the marshlands were to my right and a couple of bridges dotted the marshlands where water streams interrupted the many trails that snaked its way through the marshy grass. In the middle of it all was this little red hut probably used as a boat house. I managed to get an awesome picture with the hut at the center and many bridges leading up to it. That was the first picture of scenery where I thought "wow this picture is really cool!"

So that was the spark that started it all. Many years later I purchased my first DSLR, a Canon Rebel XTI. Three DSLR upgrades later along with a few lens purchases and I am well on my way to producing pictorial galleries that will hopefully grow into something really really cool!

I thank you for taking the time to visit my site and hopefully will keep on adding many more pages of galleries to this site so make sure to check back often!
